Once the Planning process has been completed, it is time to resolve the detail of the proposal.
The detail will have been considered during the design process, but now it needs expanding on, and finalising, so it can be built.
Knott Architects can advise on the appointment of a Structural Engineer, and work with them to resolve the structural detail in an architectural manner.
We also work closely with the Client, tailoring the detail to their requirements, aspirations, and budget.
Details of how the project is put together, the materials and finishes, heating and services, fixtures and fittings, etc, all need to be agreed, detailed, and put in an accessible form. This is what we call the ‘production information’.
The detail will need to be designed to meet the Building Regulations:
The resulting ‘production information’ will consist of a written ‘Scope of Works’, drawings and schedules, and additional specialist quotations and specifications.
It will be used to :
Submit to Building Control for approval
